The body of a slain Sudanese refugee was found with his hands and feet tied up near
Egypt's border with Israel in the early hours Wednesday, an Egyptian police official said.
The refugee was identified as Ibrahim Abdullah Yahia Mohammed, 30, the police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to talk to the media.
Mohammed's body was covered with bruises and wounds, the official said. It was discovered in the village of El-Tawayal, some 20 kilometers from the Rafah border crossing.
The official said police was investigating the killing. He stated it is not uncommon for human traffickers to kill illegal migrants who refuse to pay fees due.
