Sunni insurgents kill 10 Iraqi soldiers, wound 13 in Baghdad attack

Sunni insurgents on Monday killed 10 Iraqi soldiers and wounded 13 others in an attack on a checkpoint in the Diyala province northeast of Baghdad, the US military said. The military blamed the attack on al-Qaida insurgents who have recently escalated their attacks in the volatile Diyala province.
