Zahar: Truce will hold only if Israel 'committed'

Former Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar of Hamas said Wednesday that the Palestinians' truce with Israel would hold only if Israel were "committed" to it, Israel Radio reported. In an interview to the newspaper Al-Quds al-Arabiye, Zahar also criticized Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas for his response to the US benchmark document on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. According to Zahar, Abbas had rejected "nothing" in the US proposal.
