Berlad expected to be released due to insufficient evidence

Comedian Yaron Berlad, who was arrested on Monday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl, was expected to be released on Thursday due to insufficient evidence.
The Hadera police were expected to close the case against the 37-year-old star of the Israeli satire show "Eretz Nehederet" and to release him from house arrest.
The girl reportedly told police that she was assaulted while in Berlad's car, and managed to flee the car.
Berlad denied the accusations against him, saying the girl presented herself as a legal adult and took advantage of him.
A second woman in her 30s filed a comlaint against Berlad on Wednesday, claiming that he sexually assaulted her when the two served together in the IDF.
