Follow The Jerusalem Post's live coverage Tuesday night as the nation marks Remembrance Day 2012. Since 1860, some 22,993 servicemen and women have died defending the state; over the past year alone 126 soldiers and security personnel have fallen in the line of duty.

President Shimon Peres opens the official government ceremony at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The ceremony includes Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz as well as government representatives and bereaved relatives.
