Panel of officials, academics discuss Iran at annual Herzliya Conference attended by MKs, business figures, Jewish leaders, diplomats.

The Herzliya Conference on “The Balance of Israel’s National Strength (hosen) and Security," running from February 6 to 9, 2011, is unique among the plethora of Israeli and international conferences.On Monday morning, panelists at the conference will address the Iranian nuclear threat. The panelists are: Brian Katulis, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, Danielle Pletka, Vice President of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute, Brig. Gen. (res.) Ephraim Sneh, former Deputy Minister of Defense, and Efraim Halevy, former head of the Mossad. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Manfred Bleskin, a journalist and presenter for German News Television.The Jerusalem Post's live feed from the conference will cover speakers including President Shimon Peres, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi. Since its inception, the Herzliya Conference has become the annual "summit meeting" of the most influential Israeli and international leaders.
