Identity of casualties in Netanya explosion are released

Three teenage girls affiliated with French Chabad House among dead; man from Kfar Kara also killed in gas blast, was soon to be married.

The identities of three teenage girls and one man killed in the suspected gas explosion that rocked a Netanya building were released on Friday.
Rebecca Msihid, 17, Rebbeca Dorai, 18, and Stacy Barouk, 17, all residents of the city, were killed in the blast after returning from the local French Chabad House. The girls had reportedly attended a class and then picked up Shabbat candles in order to hand them out to local residents.

According to Channel 10 they were going home after the class, stopping in the square around the time that the fatal explosion occurred.
A friend of the girls created a special Facebook page in their memory. As of Friday night the page had more than 2,700 subscribers.
Mohammed Abu Attar, 28, was also killed in Thursday night's blast, but likely from a gas tank explosion on Herzl Street and not from blasts inside the building. Channel 10 news said that Attar was to be married in the coming months.
Attar was a resident of Kafr Kara, a village located in the North's Wadi Araa.
The suspected gas explosion rocked a four-story building in Netanya overnight Thursday, leaving the four people dead and at least 90 others injured, most of them with minor injuries. The cause of the explosion was initially unknown, but police officially announced that the explosion was caused by a gas tank or a number of tanks.
The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court on Friday extended the remand by five days of two people suspected to be involved in the Netanya gas explosion Thursday overnight.
The judge decided that one of the men, who allegedly stole metal cables from the building and who is suspected of manslaughter and theft, poses a real danger.
