Hoenlein Family Mission to Meir Panim's Israel Nutrition Center

On a trip to Israel with his family, Mr. Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, paid a visit on Friday, May 21st to the Mortimer Zuckerman & Abigail Zuckerman Israel Nutrition Center in Kiryat Gat to witness the renovation progress at the site.Mr. Hoenlein has been a long-time dedicated supporter of Meir Panim andthe Israel Nutrition Center in particular. During the visit, Mr.Hoenlein was honored with the dedication of “The Ephraim and EstherHoenlein Visitor's Hall,” in blessed memory of his beloved parents. TheVisitor’s Hall will overlook the general operations of the facility.Mr. Hoenlein spoke of his parents’ devotion to helping children andtheir deep love of Israel. In attendance at the dedication ceremony wasKiryat Gat Mayor Aviram Dahari, City Council Member Avner Kachlon,Welfare Director Yehuda Legami, Meir Panim Israel Chairman PeretzHirshenbaum and Director Rachelli Ebenboim, as well as American Friendsof Meir Panim President David Roth.After the dedication, the Hoenlein Family traveled through the city ofKiryat Gat and distributed food shopping cards to needy families forShabbat.
