Blues break out for 9 goals to wash out Whites

Israel Recreational Hockey League action sees plethora of scoring at the Canada Centre in Metulla.

The Central Blues did some heavy duty Pessah cleaning, wiping the ice with the Northern Whites in Israel Recreational Hockey League action at the Canada Centre in Metulla.
The Whites had adjustment problems as forward Michael Horowitz strapped on the pads to replace brother Liam in goal. The Blues exploited the rusty netminder, popping in four goals before Horowitz found his rhythm.
With two-goal performances from Josh Greenberg, Gal Assa and Ziv Sharon the Blues were on an offensive rampage all evening.
Defensively, the Whites were missing David Schwartz on defense, while Avery Greenberg and Uri Eisner did their best to protect Horowitz in the 9-6 loss.
Blues teenage goalie Yoav Regev was again strong between the pipes, backed up by veterans Joe Bazes and Mike Green on defense.
The cool outside temperatures during the week meant the Olympic ice was hard and fast, and the younger legs of the Blues prevailed.
Just before the Passover holiday, the IRHA held its latest kids hockey clinic with over two dozen youngsters aged 6-to-13 learning the best of stickhandling, skating, passing and shooting under the tutelage of coach Sean Insler.
