Shay Doron made it look easy for the Maryland Terrapins in the first round of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. The second-seeded Terps looked dominant as they defeated Harvard 89-65 in Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday. Doron led the way for Maryland with 21 points and five rebounds. She proved exceptionally valuable at the beginning of both halves. Doron helped jump-start Maryland with seven points in the first five minutes, helping them overcome a fast start by Harvard. After leading 38-25 at halftime, Doron scored nine points in a 16-5 Maryland run that helped put the game out of reach. Maryland will continue its play in the Dayton Regional on Tuesday against No. 7 seed Ole Miss, which defeated No. 10 seed Texas Christian University on Sunday. If Maryland advances, it will play the winner of the Oklahoma-Marquette game on March 25 in Dayton.
