Alex Rudoy was the winning golfer in the "A" Division at the Ga'ash Golf Club's Monthly Medal on Monday with a net-77 score. The first Monthly Medal of 2008 was hampered by gale force winds and rain and the "B" and "C" Division tournaments planned for Tuesday were cancelled due to harsh weather conditions. The twenty one players from the "A" Division made the effort to play, despite the difficult weather conditions, yet quite a few players retired early. Rudoy, Raphy Harroche, Howard Ross and Judy Reefe all had net-77 but Rudoy won on the count out with Raphy taking second place. The Wine Center at Ga'ash's "Nearest to the Pin" prize went to Raphy Harroche, 6.8 meters into a strong wind on hole 9, par 3, playing at 160 meters. On the same hole on January 25 Brian Galgut had a hole in one.
