European soccer took its toll once again on Maccabi Petah Tikva, with the blues drawing 0-0 with Hapoel Kfar Saba on Monday afternoon to wrap up the soccer Premier League's Matchday 6. Days after a UEFA Cup match against Partizan Belgrade last month, Maccabi Petah Tikva lost to Betar Jerusalem. After drawing with Kfar Saba on the heels of another European match, Petah Tikva needs to find a way to deal with the European hangover or its chances of qualifying for Europe for a third straight year will slowly but surely disappear. In possibly the worst game played in the Premier League so far this season, both sides failed to produce any real chances in front of goal and didn't even deserve the single point they each got for the tie. After playing some of its best soccer and still losing to Palermo on Thursday in the UEFA Cup, Petah Tikva was unable to perform against Kfar Saba and with the visitors always content with an away point, a breakthrough was never in the cards and the match was doomed to end in a scoreless draw.
