Israeli welterweight Merhav Mohar suffered just his second pro defeat in his biggest boxing match to date when he lost via technical knockout to Xavier Tolliver for the vacant WBC Fecarbox (Central American Boxing Federation) welterweight title on Friday night at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Georgia.
Mohar, 22, dropped to 16-2 (10 KOs), while Tolliver improved to 19-4 (12 KOs).
The defeat was the former kickboxer s first since the third fight of his career in 2002.
Mohar seemed groggy when he came out for the sixth round and Tolliver took advantage, attacking until the ref called the fight at 0:39.
Mohar was taken from the ring on a stretcher to a local hospital where he is said to be OK.
