Shahar Pe'er will be looking for her first career win over Tzipi Obziler when the two meet in the Israeli Championships final in Ra'anana on Friday.
Israel's No. 1 lost to the 34-year-old veteran when the two met in the 2004 and 2005 finals, but will nevertheless be a massive favorite to claim the victory on Friday.
Both players will be going for their fourth Israeli championship title, with Pe'er winning in 2001, 2003 and 2006, and Obziler in 2000, 2004 and 2005.

In the men's tournament, Harel Levy (161), who is seeded No.1 in the absence of Dudi Sela (64), will face Dekel Valtzer (408) in Friday's final. Levy, who claimed the title in 1997, 1999 and 2002, defeated Amir Wientraub (335) 7-5, 6-1 and the 2005 winner Valtzer stunned Noam Okun (245) 6-2, 6-3.
Also Friday, Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich play Weintraub and Costa Blanek in the final of the doubles tournament after rain caused the postponement of their match on Thursday. Yael Bekman and Michal Yogev claimed the women's doubles title on Thursday.
The Israel Tennis Center announced on Thursday that approximately $3.5 million will be invested in a complete overhaul of the Canada Stadium at the Ramat Hasharon tennis center. Among other things, the stadium's capacity will be increased (8,000-10,000) and a retractable roof will be built.
