Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich will attempt to win their second straight ABN AMRO World Tennis title on Sunday in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Israeli duo defeated the Czech pair Tomas Berdych and Cyril Suk 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinals on Saturday. Ram and Erlich, who also reached the tournament final in 2004, will attempt to be the first back-to-back winners at Rotterdam since David Adams and John Laffnie de Jager in 1999 and 2000. They will face either Austria's Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer or the duo of Paul Hanley of Australia and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe in the final. Ram and Erlich broke Berdych and Suk in the sixth game of the first set and held their serve to win the set 6-3. In the second set the Czechs were the first to break their opponents' serve, but Ram and Erlich broke back immediately and went on to win 6-4. The Israeli pair has already guaranteed itself 175 ranking points and 24,300 Euros in prize money. After the final they will return to Israel. Ram was granted a wild card to next week's futures tournament in Ra'anana.
