With the early morning thunderstorms, no one would have believed that nearly 50 golfers would complete the Individual Stableford Competition, played on Sunday at the Ga'ash Golf Club. Morning play was partly hampered by light rains, but the day turned out to be bright and sunny. Despite the difficult conditions, Judy Reefe and Steve Midkiff managed to both score 36 Stableford points. Judy, who completed the back nine on 19 points, took first place in the tournament, with Steve coming in second place. Coming up at the end of the month will be the Monthly Medal competition from which a Gaash team will be chosen to represent the club for its annual match against a team of Jewish businessmen from England. The Ga'ash Golf Club has once again taken on the franchise for the prestigious "International Pairs" competition, and will send one pair of players to play on one of the most famous Golf Courses in the world, the St. Andrews course in Scotland.
