Udi Gal and Gidi Kliger finished the pre-Olympic 470 sailing competition in sixth position at Qingdao, China, on Wednesday afternoon.
The duo led the competition on Monday, but poor performances on Tuesday and Wednesday saw the team drop down the standings.
"Unfortunately we couldn't hold on to our position and ended the competition in what is, for us, a disappointing sixth place," Kliger said.
"We are displaying a very high level and all-in-all we had a very good competition. The last two days, however, leave us with a bad taste in our mouths."
Qingdao will host the sailing competitions at next years Olympic Games.
