Will Solomon sealed a move to Euroleague side Fenerbahce Ulker, ending speculation about the Maccabi Tel Aviv guard's future. Solomon, 28, averaged 15 points and 2.9 assists in 25 Euroleague games for Maccabi last season as the team reached the competition's final. But the player, who was under contract at Maccabi for 2006/07 as well, decided he wasn't interested in remaining under new coach Neven Spahija and bought his contract out. Solomon had been perusing NBA options and was also rumored to be a target for Hapoel Jerusalem, where he played in 03/04, leading the team to the ULEB Cup title. This is Solomon's second spell in Istanbul, after playing for Efes Pilsen two years ago. Maccabi is still looking for a new backcourt after Solomon left and Anthony Parker signed with the NBA's Toronto Raptors. Reports have the Israeli champs in negotiations with Dajuan Wagner, formerly of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wagner is the son of Milt, who spent several years playing for a number of Israeli teams in the mid-1990s.
