While Prince William will get to view the Holy Land for only a few days, his family’s legacy will be instilled here forever.

While there’s no doubt that the visit by Prince William is historic since it’s official, the truth of the matter is that British princes have been visiting Jerusalem for more than 150 years.

On his way over to them, the prince made the effort to stop and talk to people watching and cheering from the sidelines before telling them to "enjoy the beach."

After beginning his day at Yad Vashem and meeting with President Rivlin and Prime Minister Netanyahu, William has arrived in Ramat Gan to speak at the embassy.

The trip is being widely characterized as William’s most high-profile and politically sensitive trip yet.

British officials have stressed in the run-up to the visit that William is an apolitical figure, and that he will not be carrying any political message.
