Police officers, alerted by the sound of a gunshot, said they found evidence of a weapon having been fired outside the building on University Avenue.

Shattered windows were found at two Kiva’s Bagel Bar locations in Toronto, prompting a hate crime investigation and increased police presence.

Another three people were reported to have been wounded in the attack.

Comment from B'nai Brith Canada, attributable to Richard Robertson, Director of Research and Advocacy, told The Jerusalem Post that "Being Jewish is not a provocation."

"Through encrypted messaging apps, young people are hired to carry out attacks against various targets. And in order to get paid, they're required to film their attacks," said police chief Demkiw.

TPS would not confirm to The Jerusalem Post that synagogue shootings were tied to the warrants.

Six people were arrested during the event, as anti-Israel counter-protesters gathered near Earl Bales Park for the Walk Against Israel.

A window of the Mishkan Avraham synagogue was broken, but no injuries were reported. An investigation was opened, but as of writing there are no suspects.
