WeWork, whose parent We Company lost $1.9 billion in 2018, had hoped to raise at least $3 billion in the abandoned IPO and borrow a further $6 billion in a loan from banks.

The company was valued at the beginning of the year at $47 billion, but that figure has fallen to about $15 billion.

Revising Neumann's supervoting rights, which give him 20 times the voting power of ordinary shareholders, was among the changes being discussed.

The We Company had originally planned to go public with an all-male seven-member board, a practice major investors frown upon, saying more diverse boards make better decisions.

In the Tel Aviv area, there are approximately 250,000 sq.m. of coworking spaces. In 2019, new coworking offices will be opened, adding another 60,000 sq.m. of space.

"Landlords are very asset-centric companies - they know how to buy, finance and maintain buildings," Itay Banayan, VP Real Estate at Mindspace, told The Jerusalem Post.

WeWork's latest shared space will be located in Petah Tikva's Kiryat Aryeh industrial zone and is expected to open its doors in 2020 to approximately 3,000 new members.

Insufficient space for a revenue-earning desk or an obstructed plug socket can be costly for WeWork’s finances and reputation.

Launched in 2010, WeWork is a platform that leases shared work space to communities of entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses and connects that community to business service providers.
