The group had been conducting prayers for the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr, the same day a fragment from an intercepted Iranian missile fell in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Dr. Uzi Rubin tells The Media Line that stopping missiles at high altitude remains the only effective defense once submunitions are released.

Half of the missiles fired by Iran have been cluster warheads that have about 24 submunitions, each containing approximately 2–5 kg of explosives.

According to the report, the issue of inadequate protection on IDF bases is widespread, with one soldier noting, "When there's a siren, we put on helmets and pray."

These humanitarian organizations, having operated primarily in international crisis zones, are now applying their expertise to support communities affected by missile attacks across Israel.

"The United States strongly condemns Iran and Iran-backed terrorist militias' attacks on diplomatic, military, and civilian infrastructure in the region," a US State Department spokesperson said.

The IAF has carried out over 400 waves of airstrikes across Iran since the war began, with Defrin noting, “We have thousands of targets ahead.”
