WHO releases new guidelines to prevent drowning as 2.5 meter waves expected in Israel

According to WHO data, about 300,000 people die from drowning every year. Children and young people under the age of 29 account for 57% of all victims.

Five dead in Ohio mass drowning after failed rescue attempt of struggling swimmer

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the tragedy unfolded Sunday night along the Scioto River at the O'Shaughnessy Reservoir, about 10 miles northwest of Columbus, Ohio.
