Landslide buries 33 people, 16 remain trapped in Gansu, China as tornadoes, typhoons hit

Local authorities are making every effort to rescue those affected in a village in Tanchang county, state-run Xinhua news agency reported. The cause of the landslide remains unclear.

Enid Mayor David Mason told KOCO that Vance Air Force Base sustained minor damage, and Garfield County Sheriff Cory Rink added that officials told him no one on the base had been injured.
