Air Madrid to start Tel Aviv flights

The airline said it intends to operate regularly scheduled flights to Israel and awaits approval by the country's Civil Aviation Authority.

The Tourism Ministry said Monday that low-cost airline Air Madrid would start to offer charter services to Israel, serving as an alternative connection for flights to South America, and bringing an additional 25,000 seats to the Tel Aviv/South American routes The airline said it intends to operate regularly scheduled flights to Israel and awaits approval by the country's Civil Aviation Authority. Air Madrid carries approximately one million passengers annually between gateways in South America and Spain.
