Jaya was born and raised in shlichut in Paraguay. At age 10 she went to boarding school in Argentina due to the lack of a Jewish education, and later spent a year studying in Safed, Israel. She has a passion for everything artistic and creative as well as intellectually challenging, and is currently working as a translator.
