Dr. Miriam Adelson, the wife of hotel and casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson, will give $5 million dollars to Newt Gingrich's campaign for the nomination of the Republican party, media reported on Tuesday.The gift brings the total amount of donations from the wealthy Jewish-American couple to the "Super PAC" of would-be Republican party nominee in recent weeks to $10 million dollars.The Adelsons are friends of the former speaker of the house and have helped bankroll his political campaigns in the past.
