Ampam demands compensation from Egypt over halted gas flow

Ampal, a company that shares ownership of the Egyptian natural gas pipeline to Israel, has threatened to sue the Egyptian government $8 billion in damages it accured due to Egypt's halting of the gas flow to Israel, Israel Radio reported Tuesday.
The Israeli company has joined American companies who share ownership demanded compensation from the Egyptian government.
The Egyptian government has said that it has finished repairs on the pipe since terrorists bombed it earlier this year shortly after former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down from power. As of now, Egyptian authorities are increasing security measures at the pipeline, which crosses Sinai into Israel, and it is still unknown exactly when the flow of natural gas will resume.
