Ashdod, Haifa celebrate Gay Pride parades

About 600 people participated in Ashdod's inaugural Gay Pride Parade on Friday, police said.

On Friday, the Gay Pride Parade in Haifa also took to the streets.

MK Ronen Hhoffman (Yesh Atid) expressed his support of the gay community in light of Ashdod's parade and said social equality is only equal when it is for everyone.

"While organizing initiatives like this across the country, it is our responsibility - public representatives - to actively promote equality in legislation," he said.
