Beinisch: Positive results will be lost if strike continues

Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch warned Tuesday that the "positive results we have achieved in the last two years may be lost if the lawyers' strike, which has so far lasted 30 days, continues."
During a ceremony for the ordination of new lawyers, Beinisch said "We expect for a considerable time in the future to deal with the effects of the strike."
Others in the legal elite have expressed wonder in the face of public inaction regarding the national lawyers strike, while damage from the strike continues to accumulate.
Since the start of the strike, lawyers have not shown up for discussion, indictments have been canceled, and defendants, some of whom have committed serious crimes, have been set free.
