Court increases sentence of cabbie who aided Palestinians

The Jerusalem District Court sentenced a taxi driver to two months in prison for aiding Palestinians to cross the border into Israel illegally.
The court accepted the State Attorney’s Office appeal over the lower court’s sentence of 400 hours of community service for the driver, claiming that the punishment was too lenient in light of the fact that the driver knowingly broke the law and attempted to obstruct police officers from arresting the infiltrators.
