Court orders Knesset to explain move denying Zoabi rights

The High Court on Tuesday ordered the Knesset to explain within 30 days why it will not cancel a decision by the Knesset House Committee to deny parliamentary rights to MK Haneen Zoabi for her participation in the Turkish flotilla to Gaza in May 2010.
The order was issued following a petition by Labor MKs against the decision, within which part of the privileges to which Zoabi was entitled as an acting MK were annulled.
