East Jerusalem arson suspect charged with wife's murder

An east Jerusalem resident suspected of dousing his house with gasoline and setting it on fire last month was charged with the murder of his wife and the attempted murder of his five children in Jerusalem District Court on Thursday.

Prosecutors requested the extension of Ihab Nemer's remand while the court procedures take place. 

Nemer, a resident of Shuafat in east Jerusalem, was charged with arson in addition to murder and attempted murder.
