Knesset Education Committee chairman Alex Miller on Sunday (Israel Beiteinu) called an emergency meeting to discuss the reinforcement against rocket fire of school buildings in the South, following Saturday night’s security escalation. The meeting will take place on Tuesday morning.

“It cannot be that every time the Gazan front heats up, the security of pupils and students is endangered and education is put on hold,” Miller said. “Protecting lives and continuing our daily routine is our victory over terror; therefore, we must make sure to immediately transfer the budget to protect educational institutions that are under threat from rockets.”
