Education Ministry: Kids should leave protection kits at home

The Ministry of Education released a statement to parents on Saturday night following US President Barack Obama’s speech about possible military action to be taken in Syria in the coming weeks, saying that studies are continuing as usual all over the country and that children should leave their protection kits at home and not bring them to school.

Director-general of the ministry, Dalit Stauber stressed that the ministry “is in constant coordination with security forces and the Home Front Command” and “operates in accordance with their instructions in order to maintain a safe school routine.”

The ministry also noted that the education system in Israel is “ready to operate normally, even in emergency situations.”
