RAFAH, Egypt — Egyptian security and medical officials say an Israeli citizen was arrested along the fence between Egypt and Israel as he attempted to sneak across the barbed wire with African migrants.

A medical official in Rafah said Monday the 30-year old Israeli was wounded in his hand from the wire. He was treated and later discharged to security.

A security official said the Israeli had no identification papers and no money. He told his investigators he was a journalist reporting on African migrants sneaking into Israel from Egypt.
