Electric Corporation declares strike, but supply of power to continue

The Israel Electric Corporation embarked on a strike Tuesday, but the company will continue to supply the country's electricity unhampered.

In a dramatic announcement at a Knesset Economic Affairs Committee hearing, the company's union chairman Miko Tzarfati said the company's very existence was on the brink of collapse, and warned that if the company would shut down, Israel would lose its electricity supply.
