Erekat: Abbas to meet Clinton on Palestinian prisoners

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will meet US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and French President Francois Hollande this week to discuss the release of Palestinian prisoners being held in Israelis jails, the Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency quoted PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat as saying on Wednesday.Abbas's visit to Paris will coincide with a meeting of the "Friends of Syria," which will be attended by senior diplomatic officials from across the world. Abbas will also meet with UN foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and the foreign ministers of the UK, Germany and Norway, according to Erekat.Rocket sirens sound across northern Israel
