Former Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Shalom Simhon has been appointed director at Shikun & Binui Holdings Ltd. (TASE: SKBN), controlled by Shari Arison through Arison Holdings Ltd.. He will take the post immediately.

Simhon was a Labor Party stalwart until he joined Ehud Barak, who quit the party to establish his own faction, when the Labor Party voted to quit the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Barak's new party, Ha'atzmaut, did not survive when Barak decided to retire from political life.
