Fault at Ashkelon power plant causes several power cuts

The Israel Electric Company (IEC) said Thursday that fault at one of the units of the Rotenberg power plant in Ashkelon, caused several power cuts around the country.
Traffic lights stopped functioning at the Ra'anana junction for 20 minutes and heavy traffic built up in the area. Police directed traffic until the lights began functioning again.
The IEC stressed that it was working to resolve the problem and it was not an intentional blackout.
