A female soldier is in critical condition after an accident at a shooting range at Bet Lid, in central Israel.

During firing practice, the soldier was struck by at least one stray bullet.

She received emergency treatment on the scene, beforeb eing evacuated
to the Hillel Yafe Medical Center in Hadera, where surgeons operated on her.

The IDF is investigating the accident.

The soldier's family has been notified.
