Rabbi Jacob Rakovsky, who served as the Hadassah Medical Organization’s rabbi for the last half-century, has died. The organization said Sunday that the Jerusalem-born Rakovsky loved both the Torah and health issues and was accepted by all streams of Jewish communities. He made every Jewish patient feel comfortable visiting and being hospitalized and provided spiritual help to all who needed it, it said.
