Four troops killed by blast in Somali capital

MOGADISHU - An explosion at a presidential compound in the Somali capital Mogadishu killed four soldiers on Wednesday, a government soldier said.

"We saw smoke and heard an explosion. I can confirm four dead who are all (transitional federal government) forces," Abdikarin Adan told Reuters from the scene.

The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.
