'Gov't confirms German mediator renewed Schalit talks'
By JPOST.COM STAFF Government sources on Saturday confirmed reports that German mediator Gerhard Konrad had gone to Gaza to negotiate for the release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit, Channel Two reported.According to the report the mediator was in Gaza three weeks ago speaking to Hamas officials about a possible deal that would secure Schalit's release.Gaza humanitarian aid port will be up and running by the weekend
