Hamas announced Saturday that it supports the actions of the Popular Resistance Committees, adding that it would not sit idly while Israel strikes Gaza. "We will respond along with other factions against the Occupation's crimes," the organization said in a statement.

The group also stated that the it "has the capability of hurting Israel."
