Hamas security forces in the Gaza Strip arrested the head of a terror organization affiliated with al-Qaida on Thursday, Israel Radio reported.

Hisham Saidani, responsible for rocket attacks on southern Israel as well as an attack using booby trapped horses that was thwarted near the Karni Crossing in 2009, is the head of the A-Tawhid WaJihad organization. He has been wanted by Hamas forces for a long time, according to the report.

Palestinian security officials added that Saidani was also involved in terrorist activity in the Sinai Peninsula.
