The Hamas government in the Gaza Strip declared a day of mourning following the deaths of at least nine Palestinians from IDF fire in the Strip on Tuesday.

Hamas called on the entire Gazan public to participate in the funerals of those killed.

In one IDF strike on Tuesday, four civilians, including several children, were killed by an IDF mortar shell. The IDF said it fired the mortar at the launch site where projectiles were fired just minutes before and blamed Hamas for using human shields and operating from civilian population centers.
