MK Dov Henin (Hadash) on Sunday morning called for an investigation into the conduct of the police and municipality inspectors that sparked the angry protests Saturday night.

"The social protest is against violence, but as John F. Kennedy said, 'Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.'"

In what was the most violent encounter between social justice protesters and police since the protest movement began last summer, over two thousand protesters clashed with police in central Tel Aviv Saturday night, against what they said was police brutality at a protest the day before.
