Hit-and-run driver Tal Mor appeals prison sentence

Tal Mor, who was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in October for killing cyclist Shneor Cheshin, filed an appeal at the Supreme Court against his conviction and prison sentence on Wednesday.Mor, a 27 year old joint Israeli and American citizen, was convicted in the Central District Court of Cheshin's manslaughter.He was also convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, abandoning the scene of an accident, possession of drugs, obstruction of justice and driving without a valid license or insurance.Mor's father Izhik had announced the family's decision to appeal to the Supreme Court against the sentence and conviction immediately after the court passed sentence in October.
