Hospitals awarded five stars for most beautiful facilities

Assuta Hospital in Rishon Lezion, Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and the Beersheba Mental Health Center have won top awards in the Council for a Beautiful Israel’s annual competition of the most aesthetic medical centers. In addition, Laniado Medical Center in Netanya received a special prize for its contribution to the community; the Tirat Hacarmel Mental Health Center and the Shoham geriatric rehabilitation center also received citations.

More than 30 medical institutions around the country entered the competition. Deputy Health Minister Ya’acov Litzman attended the Sunday evening ceremony where judges gave each institution a number of stars, up to five.

The awards were given to those facilities that make the environment -- inside and out -- most pleasant and friendly to patients, visitors and staffers.
